Aw, Scotty got a time out?
Yes, he did. Time outs are a very necessary evil in our house and not even Sweet Scott is immune to them. But he does put an extra sweet spin on his. Time outs are very structured, the time out-ee is first given an explanation of what was done wrong and then an explanation of what should have been done instead and then they are asked to use their time out to make a plan for how they are going to do the right thing next time. After they have spent the proportionate amount of minutes (however many years old they are) in their time out, we again go over what got them in the time out, what they should do next time and then we always end it with a kiss and a hug and a big I Love You. Scott is so so so funny in his post time out talk- he just can't wait for the kiss and the hug so the whole time we do the wrap up talk he is leaning in and onto me, rubbing his mouth all over my face just dying to get to the kiss and hug portion. He is just too funny.
