Weekend of Pools

We had quite a weekend! We spent the better part of Saturday at the pool and Jack had a blast! As always, he made lots of friends, played catch and frisbee and even practiced swimming a bit with his new Spiderman kick board. And since we set the bar so high with a day at the pool on Saturday, we had to come up with something to keep him busy on Sunday so I thought it'd be a good time to drag out all the pools and pool toys we had in the garage to see which ones would still inflate in preparation for Jack's 3rd Birthday party coming up quicker than I can believe! So as you can see, Jack got quite a bit of sun this weekend. As for Scott, he is on the brink of a major milestone- rolling over! He is so very close and Jack is helping with the cheering and coaching. I have a couple really cute videos from the weekend that I will get on here later today. But here's some pics for the time being.

Little Reuben's Nemo Birthday!

Biggest hit of the party: Water Balloons, no contest. Check out Reuben's Nemo Hat. That thing is hilarious!
What a good boy, patiently waiting out the rain.
Still waiting...
It was a great party, despite the rain!

Scott's First Bowl of Rice Cereal!

This past week has been rough for Scott, lots of sleepless nights. So we thought we would try supplementing his diet a bit with a little Rice Cereal on Wednesday night. He liked it alot and ate the whole bowl but it didn't help with the sleeplessness. We thought he was just missing Jack while Jack was at Nonna's all week, but turns out that it was the beginnings of a little cold. He's been feeling under the weather all weekend and is headed for the doctor Monday morning. But here are a few pics of him in better moods, enjoying his Rice Cereal.
Such Concentration.
After each bite he would suck on his paci a bit, it was pretty funny.
Bite, Paci, Bite, Paci...
He ate it all and still had room for some blankie!

Jack's Trip

Jack has been with his Nonna and Grandpa Mike for the past week and they have been busy! I think when we pick him up today he will probably sleep for a week straight because he hasn't had this much excitement and activity his whole life! They started their trip at Aunt Carrie's cabin, and after seeing the pics Mike sent, I am so jealous of Jack. The cabin looks like a LOT of FUN!

Mike always gets the coolest shots, very abstract. I love it.
There's Halo the dog, Carrie, Cindy, Jack (hiding), Nonna and Jack's cousin Ashley. This place looks amazing, lucky kid! This one didn't come with an explanation, but with Jack, there rarely are explanations anyway.
There's Aunt Kathy in the background with Maria the Schnauzer, and is Jack drinking coffee? ~*HeHe*~

Havin' a Blast at the Houston Zoo!

Kyle and I have really missed Jack alot this past week that he's been at Nonna's house. I don't know how we would have made it through without all the excellent pictures Grandpa Mike has been sending. They went to the Houston Zoo on Thursday these pics are great!
Check out his new flip flops! Priceless.

Yes, he looks very serious, but Jack is nothing if not very serious. So trust me, he's having a blast, he's just all business when it comes to Carousels apparently.

Scott Needs Some Blog Attention

I hadn't realized how full of Jack this blog had become so we thought we should Scott it up a bit! My excuse yesterday to my co-workers who accused me of having a favorite was that Jack does so much more than Scott does, but Scott is actually doing quite a bit these days. He makes this sound- like a very spitty "ghee" sound- over and over in response to us imitating it and it cracks Kyle and me up everytime. It's great because when he does it over and over it really feels like you are communicating with him because everytime he will wait for us to make the sound and then he does it right back and laughs and laughs. He didn't do it for this video of course, but we'll catch it on film soon. He's just smiling in this one, but hey that is a heck of alot more than Jack was doing at just three months!

This is Kyle's 'I have to finish my tea in my Kyle Cup before I give Scott a bath' face. You can't see it in the picture, but yes his pinkie finger is raised. So funny! Tummy Time! He's so good at that!
Dad was messing with his hair and laughing at him. Scott was a good sport about it.

Birthday Shopping

Jack's been saying for a while now that he wants a red scooter for his birthday so Nonna sent me a link today to show Jack and get his reaction on whether he might like this scooter for his birthday and here was his reaction. I think he likes it!

Sunday, Sunday

Sunday Morning Bike Ride with Dad.

Showing Dad the "crab hand" he drew. It's right above my lovely Elephant and it really looks like a Crab Hand... if you ask me.

PlayDate at Michelle's House

After Michelle and I played a little tennis on Friday, we rushed back home so we could take Jack to the pool 30minutes before it closed. Jack was very concerned that we were not going to make it to the pool in time, one block can seem like 1000 miles to a kid with "POOL!" on the brain.

After the pool, air drying with Michelle on the swings.

A little after dinner reading.

Football!

Jack is becoming quite the little football player these days! You should see this kid's spiral!
Of course, it's a two handed spiral, but a spiral's a spiral!

Quite a spread!

And this wasn't even the half of it! Connie totally out-did herself for Nana Marcille's Birthday Brunch.
We had a blast in Houston this weekend celebrating Nana Marcille's 80th Birthday! We were having too much fun at the party Saturday night to stop and take any pictures, but I did get a few at the brunch Connie put on for everyone Sunday morning. The food was fantastic and it was so great to see everyone!

I can show you the world.
A picture of a picture in process, check out Jack's new Shark Goggles! Jack's doing his shark imitation here, moments after which, the dog bit him for being a bit too convincing!
Good thing his Nonna was close by!
Scott, charming the pants off the Birthday Girl and Grandpa Mike.
Uncle David's extreme high five!
