We LOVE Nonna!

Our Nonna is so great, she sent us sooo much fun stuff for Valentine's Day that we got to have it twice! Our first Valentine's Day celebration was on Friday with Holly and Emma but Saturday morning was like Christmas Day for Jack and Scott! Nonna got Jack some Spiderman candies (which were REALLY good!) inside a new Spiderman tool box. But truth be told, he thought the candies were the coolest toys of all... until they started melting. Even Scotty got some candy and toys and we had a great time opening it all. They also got a new Bug Book which has been the #1 choice every night since Saturday, you know them too well Nonna!

The Park Seemed Like The Obvious Choice...

...after a Valentine's Day candy overload!
Jack and Holly pushing Scotty on the swings!
Scott sat in this swing for about an hour.
Holly kept him company most of that hour.
"Mom, can you make this turtle go faster?"

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

So the kids all got to design and decorate their own little Valentine's Day Mailboxes and they each made a few valentines for each other which is all the thought they would find inside their mailboxes at this point.

But little did they know that Nonna had sent me a whole box of Valentine's Day goodies to load up their mailboxes with and they were pretty excited to find candy in addition to their valentines inside! But believe it or not, the little poodle dogs Nonna sent were a bigger hit than the candy! Scotty didn't have a mailbox because all he wanted to do with the decorative sitckers was eat them...
But of course his Nonna was sure to send him some Scott-appropriate toys and EVERYONE ended up having a blast with Scott's VDay cars!

A Day in the Life...

We have so much fun when the girls are here, even on the days we just hang out at the house. Holly has the most infectious positive attitude so when she's here, our days are filled with laughter and fun no matter what we're doing!
Jack had found and then lost a tiny green bead and here, Holly is trying to help him find it. She's so helpful.

Gotta love this near 80 degree weather in February! Snack time outside is always more fun than inside! The little kids were taking a nap so I snuck a picture of Jack and Holly watching Horton Hears a Who without them noticing...

Haha, as soon as they saw the camera out, they had to do a crazy pic!

Pre-Valentine's Day Preparation

Here are Jack and Holly, making their Valentines Day mailboxes and cards. Check out Jack's Piggy! Nonna sent these great animal face cards with stickers the kids could put on themselves to make the faces and Jack's looks great, doesn't it?
Of course, Jack had already made his mail box but since Holly was making a new one, he had to add some to his.

A Girl After Our Own Hearts!

So one of Elena's favorite things to do is sit in my lap and take pictures of crazy faces and then review (at great lengths) what we've captured on the camera's screen. Could she be a more perfect playmate for myself and Jack?? Crazy faces and picture taking?? Wow, we got lucky with this one!

Elena's Crazy Face...
...Jack's Crazy Face...
...and even Scotty did one!

I Love Me Some Kiddos!

Oh My God, Playdough!!!
Elena was just thrilled with this spaghetti-making contraption, she is sooo funny!

Jack was a bit sick this rainy day, can you tell? But he made that thing he's holding all by himself. Stamped out both the star and the circle and stuck it to the "boo nake" (blue snake) and then even helped Elena make one herself!

Haha, Scotty the Ladies Man. Look at that hair!

One Sock, One Duck, One Phone and the big blue chair all to herself... she's a happy girl. Doesn't take much.

Rainy Days with.... ELENA!!!

Here's our newest addition, Elena! We Loooove Elena, let me tell ya! She's only been here two days and both were very rainy days. But if we could have this much fun with Elena on a rainy day, we are in for loads of fun once the sun comes back out!
Here are Elena and Jack with their Valentine's Day Mail Boxes. And while I did do their name stickers for them, everything else is entirely their doing. They look great, huh?!
Scotty didn't make a mail box, but he did eat a sticker, we think.

To Walk or To Ride, That is the Question.

Holly's a walker while Scott and Emma are riders. But Jack, well he could go either way.

Thrill Seekers

Here's Holly and Jack's most favorite of past times: Jumping off... anything.

Fish Cups!!

I found a couple fish cups in a $1 bin at Target so I got them for the kids. I had no idea they would bee such a big hit! Holly and Jack drank THREE fishfuls of water each that day! Crazy!
"Whatcha got there, Jack? You got a fish cup?"
Aw, Scotty wanted one too.
Haha, Scott! At this point he was so over the fish cups.
"I don't need no stinking fish cup. They aren't even that cool."

Dad's Night Out

Kyle had friends in town so he spent most of Saturday golfing, drinking and eating sushi (if it weren't for the sushi, I might be jealous). So the boys and I headed to Kale's new house and played dress up and even got to get in the hottub. The Dragon costume was easily the biggest hit of the night, according to Jack. But the hottub with 3 kids under 4 years old was interesting, to say the least. Sorry, no pics from that 20minute long panic attack for myself and Kale. Kale's child is absolutely fearless in the water... and just about everywhere else, ha!
He's so dramatic with those facial expressions.

Walkin Fools

Jack started out holding Roman's leash on our walk this evening...
... And although he appears to be doing a good job with our little Roman Noodle Neck here...
... he now has Lenny's leash, we won't go into why. Suffice to say, we're all a little relieved.
Oh Scotty, you're so easy. He loved that leaf.

Hurricanes

Here's comes the story of the Hurricane
The Man the authorities came to blame
For something that he never done!
Put in a prison cell but one day
He could of been the Champion of the World!

I couldn't help it, I am my father's daughter. All I could hear in my head as I looked at this series of pictures was Bob Dylan's voice singing that song.

Holy Baby Shoes, Batman! Scott's Walking!!

Scott was walking his little bootie off last night and now I finally have a picture of him in action!! It started at about 5pm when Scott found Lenny's bone and took 8 steps in an attempt to hand it to Lenny. I have to give Lenny some credit on this because if it weren't for his attempt to avoid Scott's approach, it would have been a mere three steps. But Lenny kept trying to get away from Scott as he closed in and so Scott had to turned about three times and take 5 extra steps in order to successfully corner Lenny. Haha! Then when Kyle got home at 6:30, he bent down for a hug and Scott took 4 steps to make it into Dad's arms! He's so sweet. Look at him go!

Can You Believe I Get Paid To Do This?

I just can't begin to put into words how much fun we're having with our daycare. But maybe these pictures can do the talking for me. I really can't believe I get paid to play all day long with these amazing kids, we're all having such a blast! The weather has been so great that we have been able to get out to the local parks quite a bit. A picnic lunch and a bunch of buckets and shovels and these kids are set for a few hours. I don't know why I didn't quit my job and do this years ago. No offense to the banking industry but this is so much more rewarding than opening checking accounts and giving beneficiary advice.
Haha, Check out Emma The Squirrel Whisperer! This girl belongs in a Disney Movie, doesn't she?
Those squirrels look sweet, don't they? But they're actually dirty thieves, they stole a whole sandwich right off our table while we were sitting there! But they didn't expect the Ziploc bag to be quite as impenetrable as it turned out to be.
Sweet Scotty has finally moved past attempting to eat the rocks at this park and is now only tasting them, so he gets to play with all the big kids now. And you wouldn't believe the amount of Big Kids you attract with a big bag of shovels and buckets. About 8 or 9 kids, all sharing beautifully. It was amazing.Emma and Scott could stare at each other on the swings all day long if we could get Jack to stay in view of the swings that long. We do a lot of chasing Jack at the park. Before we left, we stopped by the pond, Scotty was beyond sleepy and Jack and Emma were trying to get him as excited about the duckless pond as they were!
Haha, Emma had just thrown a toy in the water. This is about the moment she realized that it wasn't coming back. Aw. Jack's wanting an explanation from me on why Emma would do such a thing. Haha!
It was a great day at the Park. And what's even better, all three were passed out before we even got out of the parking lot, exhausted.
