We just love this fountain.

More UT Campus
Modern Art
After the movie, we crossed the street and went exploring in UT campus because it's just so much fun to do that! We absolutely LOVE this modern art construction they have up. I took so many pics because the boys were so funny in there and I had a hard time choosing only a few for the blog!
Monsters VS. Aliens
Kyle and I took the boys to the IMAX theater on Sunday to see the new 3D movie, Monsters VS. Aliens and we had so much fun! Jack loved the movie and is still talking about it today, telling everyone he sees that he went to the BIG theater to see it and how cool it was. Here's Jack before the movie started, downstairs in the Texas History Museum trying on some Davy Crockett hats.
Another Trip to the Austin Zoo
We had so much fun with Skyler at the Austin Zoo that we decided to go back last Friday with Holly and Skyler and it was a blast! It had rained all morning so as soon as the sun came out, we loaded up and headed to the Zoo. Apparently everyone in Austin thought the rain was an all day event because the zoo was empty. We had the whole place to ourselves and oh my gosh, we had so much fun! It was alot easier to manage the 4:1 ratio of kids to myself with an empty zoo, let me tell ya!

Hallelujah! Its Raining Paint!
With all the rain we've been having, art projects have been our day savers! This particular day (Friday), the forecast said it was only raining in the AM so I was sure to get the little guys down for an early nap so that we could do something fun once the sun came out. So Holly and Jack got to paint some little dogs (we were pretty sure Holly's was a cat but she insisted it was a dog so we agreed it was a dog, haha!) while we waited out the little guys' naps. They turned out... great!

Lego's!
Holly is so helpful, always taking care of Jack's crazy needs. Here, she is making sure no one else gets any of the size of Lego's Jack is using. Enabler? No, just good friend.

Holly's excellent tower.

I love Holly's face here, so funny!
Another Rainy Day in the Neighborhood
So we made some beautiful paintings. And I know, I'm certainly partial but Jack's is absolutely gorgeous, is it not? He added some red after this shot was taken and let me tell you, it's a masterpiece. And he actually finally made this one for me! Usually his creations are intended for Kyle but this one is mine and I LOVE it!! I may frame it.
Funny that Skyler looks the most thrilled with painting because shortly after I snapped this pic, he was outta there. We think Skyler is much more mechanical than artistical, haha. He went from painting right back to the truck I had pulled him away from for painting. But at least we got one excellent creation for his mom before he lost interest.
Holly had just gotten to our house after a fun filled morning with her Grandma at Music Class which sounded like a blast! She had a very fine arts day, hehe. Holly and Jack made at least 5 creations each, they are painters extraordinaire now!
No, This Is Not An Action Shot...
This is how Scotty fell asleep. I knew he was tired so I brought his favorite blankie to the toy corner, just to introduce the nap idea. And the next thing I know, he had burrowed himself almost completely inside of it and fallen fast asleep. He is definitely a blankie kid. Jack was a Lion kid, his favorite lion "Rarr" went everywhere with him. But Scott would take this blanket absolutely everywhere if we let him... and I've probably been giving in too much already because we took it to Target yesterday and it's really too big to be taking outside the house but he loves it! We sure do appreciate Nana Marcille making it for us!

He was pretty thrilled to have still been in the midst of the toy corner!

The Walk Back
"Head 'em up and move 'em out!" Kyle's had enough of the park!

Jack seems to enjoy the walks to and from the park more so than he enjoys the actual park. Scott? Well, Scott's pretty easy to please anytime, anywhere. He's trying to figure out Jack's new Blue Beetle boat thing which Jack got for sitting still through his haircut. I know, I know but dangit, bribery works! And let it be known, the last 4 haircuts Jack has had were all buzz cuts done by yours truly because the last time we attempted a professional haircut with Jack, the lady quit halfway through it because he was so horrible! So yes, we bribed him and it worked and I have no regrets! Scotty didn't require bribing, he just sat through his hair cut with a bewildered look on his face but no tears... he got a new toy though too- Little People Airplane for our little air traffic controller.

Park
Here are some more shots of the hair after it'd been slept on and endured a 15 minute windy walk to the park. Scott's face cracks me up in this shot, I would kill to know what's going on in that curly little head of his.
"What's that? A plane?"

"Oh, it's Jack. What's up, Jack?"

Such good brothers, playing so nicely.

Haircuts
Scott's hair looks pretty weird here but it had just dried funny I think because it doesn't look anything like this now... he's gettin' after that lollipop though, isn't he? Jack's looks pretty good though, huh? They both have a head full of cowlicks, I had suspected that for a while but the lady that cut their hair confirmed it for me, it's out of control. We tried to leave both of them as long as possible because I know how anti-haircuts all of you are!
