Jack had a pretty rough day today thanks to a trip to the doctor for some dreaded shots. He was a real trooper though and even peed in a cup for the first time! Haha! Dr. Craven was extremely impressed by that in particular! He got a clean bill of health, a couple stickers and a high five from Dr. Craven in spite of Jack berating him when he tried to look at Scott's ears: "Don't you touch my Brodder! You can't give my brodder NO shots RIGHT NOW!" Pretty funny. After we assured Jack that Dr. Craven wasn't going to hurt Scott, Jack allowed him to inspect Scott's ears and he found them to be void of any infection! Which is great news after a month of ear infections.

So when we got home Jack had another birthday gift waiting for him- REAL Golf Clubs from Grandpa Bill! The bag stand threw him off at first, he thought it was for riding...

New Superman, Batman and Spiderman bedding from Nonna and Grandpa! Jack's room has been needing an update for a while now so Nonna and Grandpa Mike prompted it with some new bedding which has been in the works for weeks now but happened to be delivered on his birthday of all days!

Of course, by the time we got it all washed and assembled, Jack was already conked out, but I know he'll love it as soon as he wakes up this morning and sees what he's laying on!

3 Years Old?! I Can't Believe It!

Still wearing his cape, just back from the pool, Jack was thrilled to open all his birthday presents yesterday afternoon!

Monsters, Inc from Auntie Liz and Uncle Parks. But if you ask Jack, Lily Kate gave him this "mobie". And it went straight into the DVD player as soon as he was done looking at the pictures. He loved it! Thanks, guys!

Caped Crusader

Jack was saying for a week that he wanted a superhero cape for his birthday so on Sunday I took him to the fabric store and let him pick out the materials for his cape. And I stayed up until 1am Sunday night constructing this cape which was much more difficult than I'd assumed it would be!

But seeing this reaction from him at 6am when he first saw it and had to put it right on, made all the hard work worth every minute!

Such a Big Boy

Not only using a cup without a lid, but pouring his own milk too?! What happened to my little baby Jacko?... He grew up!

He's mocking my surprise at his grown up capabilities. So funny.

His Hair is Out of Control!

Scott's hair really has a mind of its own! When it's wet, it gets super curly and then it drys and its back to the old man 'do. I've wanted to cut it since he was 3 wks old, but somebody keeps telling me no... Kyle.

Oh yeah, and despite the lack of photographic proof, Scott's officially a Roller! He finally rolled over for the first time on Saturday!! Very exciting!

Yeah, real funny Kyle! I'm sure this would never have happened on Kyle's night to stay up with Scott. But since last night was my night, and Scott was really eyeing Kyle's pizza, he gave in and let Scott try some! And he is his Father's son, eyes glued to the Astros game on the TV as he gnaws on that piece of pizza!

His eyes only left the TV once the pizza was taken out of his mouth.

Second Generation Rarr

These boys and their Lions... You wouldn't know it from the picture, but it's finally official: Jack has kicked his addiction to Rarr. And it makes me a little sad. For those of you who weren't aware of the Era of Rarr, Jack took this Webkins Lion everywhere and slept with him every night for some time until maybe 4 months ago when his obsession with Rarr began to wane. When Kyle offered Rarr to Scott today, Jack was quick to replace it with the newer version of stuffed lion that Nonna gave him recently, but as soon as this picture was snapped, Jack tossed Rarr aside again and forgot all about him. He tells me all the time, but it's still hard to believe that Jack really is "a big boy now". Thank goodness for Baby Scotty, carrying on the tradition of Lion Lovin'. But of course at this point, Scott loves everything he can fit into his mouth!
