Dad's Visit

My Dad and my stepmom, Shauna, came out to Texas for a visit in June and we had so much fun! As you can see, we had a very full house with my parents and my sister's whole family all under one roof! The kids had so much fun with their nightly slumber parties, a canoe trip down Barton Creek, a pool party, a T-Ball game and more! It was a lot of fun!
The first night, we all met at McCormicks and Schmicks for some delicious seafood and steak. Kyle went into the dinner believing he was not a fan of oysters and left a true believer in their slimy goodness! As did little Miss Gracie Facie, if you can believe it! The girl out ate even the Ky Guy! Success! Haha

The kids had so much fun in the creek, finding all sorts of things! The canoe ride, on the other hand, was an experience. We had 3 canoes with two adults on each boat and the kids spread out amongst us.
Some boats had a blast, while others had a slightly traumatic experience..

But we all made it out alive and dry.. for the most part!

Jack's T-Ball game at high noon on Saturday was hot as the dickens!

But the kids had fun running the bases and eating cupcakes at the all important Trophy Ceremony!

Reuben's 4th Birthday Party at the Pool was just what the doctor ordered after our hot T-Ball game!

And when it was almost all said and done, Grandpa Bill decided to rent a stump grinder to aid us in our first ever home improvement project: The Removal of the Eye Sore Rock Garden in the Backyard. Thanks for your help, Dad! And thanks for a great visit!
