We went to my sister's house in Arlington for my nephew, Tanner's 2nd birthday and we had so much fun! We were headed to the Ft. Worth Zoo on Saturday morning when Kyle spotted this baby mole in my sister's backyard! But there was something very strange about this mole, it had a deformed hand. I guess my brother in law, Craig, had put out some poison to deter this little guy's mama from tearing up their yard and we thought this deformity may be thanks to that poison and if the deformity was responsible for this baby being kicked out to rough it on his own, well we joked that this was Tanner's birthday present, a new pet! Kyle googled what moles eat, Kristin named him Handy Manny and then the kids and Kyle dug for worms for over an hour and Handy Manny gobbled everyone up. We gave him a blankie and a bunch of dirt and worms in a box up real high and left him there while we went to the Zoo, but when we got back, he was gone. Chances are, the neighborhood fat cat got him. Boo :(
